Allen and Goldie Clifford of Canaan celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, March 22nd. Their children, Lisa and Roy Krout of Fayette and Brent and Sheri Clifford of Skowhegan, planned a wonderful party for their parents, family, and friends. Approximately 53 people were in attendance at the Crossroads Bible Church in Madison. They were married on March 20th, 1964 at the Clinton Baptist Church by Reverend Werner Berge. They have nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren, plus one on the way.
Mrs. Michelle Plungy of St. Albans, Mr. and Mrs. John Plungy of Hopkinsville Kentucky, Mrs. Rebecca Kudagama of Benton, and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Doyon of Cornville are happy to announce the engagement of their children, Brittany Plungy of St. Albans and Chadwick Doyon of Clinton. Brittany is a 2012 graduate of Nokomis Regional High in Newport. Chadwick is a 1998 graduate of Lawrence High School in Fairfield. Chadwick is employed by RSU 19 in Newport. An October 2014 wedding is planned.
Michele McLaggan of Detroit, Royce McLaggan of Plymouth and Francis and Beatrice Soucy of Detroit wish to announce the engagement of their daughter and niece Tiffany McLaggan of Detroit, to Rupert Field III of Newburgh, the son of Lisa and Rupert Field II of Newburgh. Tiffany is a 2009 graduate of Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield and now attends Husson University in Bangor. She will graduate with three degrees in May 2015, which are a B.A in Chemistry and Forensic Science and an A.S in Criminal Justice. Tiffany is employed by Philbrick Enterprise, LLC in Detroit. Rupert is a 2009 graduate of Hamden Academy and he now attends the University of Augusta, Bangor Campus, studying for his business administration degree and plans to graduate in the spring of 2017 with a B.A. in Business Administration. He is employed full time at Schwan’s Food Services company in Bangor. An August 9th, 2014 wedding is planned at the First Baptist Church in Pittsfield.
