Trafton
Mr. and Mrs. Burlin Trafton were married on May 15th, 1948 in Harmony by the Reverend Leslie Perry. The children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Trafton gathered with them on May 10th, 2008 to shower them with love and celebrate their upcoming 60th anniversary. The happy occasion took place at the Wellington Fire Station and began with a group picture of their whole family to record this memorable day. A buffet was enjoyed by all and was followed with cake and ice cream. During the buffet, Lisa Rice shared a letter entitled To Our Grandparents written by granddaughters Lisa Rice and Lori Cushing. All of the grandchildren wrote about special memories in a book, which was given to them as well. To honor Burlin and Ginny’s wishes, the gathering was limited to their children.
The couple enjoyed visiting with all and especially watching as the great grandchildren were busy playing games. Those in attendance were their three daughters and spouses: Ralph and Linda Bagley, and Dale and Crystal Rackliff, all of Harmony; and Quentin and Mary Ellen Clark of Dover-Foxcroft. Also attending were all of their grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jeff, Roxann, Adam and Kyle Bagley from Parkman; Amy, Steven, Coty and Monica Lake from Wellington; Robert, Kathy, Lindsay and Abbey Bagley from Fairfield; Lori, Chayse and Jessie Cushing from Mercer; Chad and Kimberly Rackliff from Solon; Elizabeth Rackliff from Fairfield; Lisa, James, Maverick and Montana Rice from Harmony; Thomas Clark, Merrily Fales and Cameron Plouride from Charleston; Ryan, Poppy, Zander and Brynn Clark from Auburn.
Mr. and Mrs. Trafton were farmers for many years and Burlin was also a woodsman. They continue to reside in Harmony and enjoy spending time with their family.
